How we check availability
NeedOhInStock separates stable product facts from fast-changing retailer inventory. Product names, specifications and manufacturer reference pricing are sourced from Schylling whenever possible.
What “in stock” means
We only use a current in-stock claim when a retailer feed, API or directly verifiable retailer source supports it. If we cannot confirm live inventory, the site uses language such as “Check current availability.”
Freshness rules
- Live or API inventory should expire quickly and be rechecked before display.
- Manual retailer checks are shown with a timestamp and are never treated as continuously live.
- Reference prices are reviewed separately from inventory status.
- Broken merchant links and discontinued products should be removed or relabeled rather than left stale.
Retailer inventory can change
Store pickup, shipping inventory, marketplace seller availability and price can change after a page is checked. Always confirm the final retailer page before buying.
Affiliate links
Some retailer links are affiliate links. That does not change the product facts or availability methodology, and retailer order should prioritize usefulness rather than commission.
Report an error
If a product fact or retailer link looks wrong, use the contact page so it can be reviewed against the source.
Understanding availability
Does a working product link mean NeeDoh is in stock?
No. A listing can stay online while unavailable. Check the retailer’s shipping and pickup options before buying.
Are your price references current offers?
No. Manufacturer references are product context, not live retailer prices. The retailer’s current listing and checkout total determine what you pay.
